Gullion’s Fury has a fresh hot bite that reflects the ingredients. A very hot sauce by most people’s standards, Gullion’s Fury is the perfect balance of flavour and intense heat with a lovely mild sweet flavour from the juicy fresh Irish carrots.
The Story of Gullion’s Fury
At our first market stall in 2017 we got a lot of feedback that our original Gullion’s Fire sauce was either too hot, not hot enough or just perfect. We decided that the “not hot enough” crowd were easy to please, we could just use hotter chillies and the same recipe. We added some Bhut Jalokia AKA Ghost Peppers, and our good friend Joanne suggested the name “Fury”. A legend was born.
Our “Gullion’s” sauces are named after the mythical giant Gullion, the alter ego of a dormant volcano in County Armagh.
Using Gullion’s Fire
It’s by far our most versatile sauce. Try it as a snack - pour it in a bowl and dip nachos in it, pour it over popcorn, dip chocolate in it, or pour it into hot chocolate. Try it as a sauce – on burgers, chops, salads, kebabs, BBQ meats, chips, pizzas, or baked potatoes. Try it as a cooking ingredient – in curries, chilli con carne, lasagne, fried rice, stir fries, and marinades. Try it as a salad dressing – mix it with olive oil, natural yoghurt, tomato ketchup, soy sauce, or lemon juice. Use it in place or fresh or dried chilli when following recipes. And of course…. chicken wings!!
