Unpasteurised Irish Apple Cider Vinegar
2 - 3 weeks
Made with Irish apples from Stagrennan Farm in Drogheda, Co. Louth, this 100% natural Irish Apple Cider Vinegar contains "The Mother" - the raw unpasteurised bacteria that turns the apple juice into apple cider vinegar.
Raw and unfiltered, this vinegar is made from organically grown apples. Loaded with protein and probiotics found in The Mother, it adds a delicious, tangy flavour to salads, sauces and even soups.
Apple cider vinegar is mostly purchased for its purported health benefits. We are not a health food website, so we won't start pretending we are experts on those, but if you do some online research you will see that there is scientific evidence to show the benefits of apple cider vinegar on digestion, immune health, and loads more. But there is so much more to apple cider vinegar than that. Here in Great Northern Larder all of our sauces are made with this very apple cider vinegar as we believe the depth of flavour is so much better than malted or white vinegar. Not all brands of apple cider vinegar are equal though - compared to a supermarket vinegar such as Don Carlos, you will find that this vinegar has a deep and rich flavour without that awful sour sharpness of a lesser vinegar.
Suggested uses include seasoning - use to replace salt on meat, veg, and fish. Use it as a salad dressing, use in sauces, spray it onto pork or ham, or even use it in cocktails.
